Robert Pierson Meier was drawn at an early age into a world of fantasy and imagination as a matter of survival. He began writing short stories at age twelve and progressed to become a contributing writer and editor for the New Press, a NYC-based literary magazine, shortly after college.
R. Pierson spent many years stuck behind a desk listening to white noise and writing for people with short attention spans. In between managing work and a vibrant household with four kids, four dogs, two cats, and his loving and supportive wife, he has managed to polish off his first novel, Postcard Papercut.
“It is a book that’s been ten years in the making.” R. Pierson tells us. “I could have finished it sooner if I could just learn to stand still in mind, body, and spirit. The You Are Here, philosophy still eludes me to this day.”
Meier's life is all about spontaneity and fun underpinned by a keen understanding that when you open yourself up to the world, the world gives back.
